Happy Friday!

This past week I explored the gorgeous lands of Block Island! I have never been and didn’t know what to expect besides the fact that it was going to be super hot out and we were going to be doing a lot of exploring and walking. Per usual I had outfit block and wasn’t sure what I was going to wear to take on this all-day adventure. I wanted to be comfortable and look cute…not always the easiest combo in the summer.

I scored this cute skirt find at T.J. Maxx last week for $15.99 and it is my favorite summer piece at the moment. I am not a fan of shorts because if you’re a girl, especially one with curves, you know the struggle of denim shorts mixed with summer adventure. So, I always opt out of a day in shorts for a comfy skirt or cute sun dress. What I loved most about this skirt is that it was extremely light fabric AND it stayed put throughout the day! I decided to keep my outfit pretty casual with a plain H&M tank because the skirt allows for that AND when it comes to heat, I need minimal fabric.

 

 

Shoutout to my boyfriend for capturing all the blog pics, even on his vacation, now THAT’S support, xo. Also…I noticed that in 98% of my photos I’m wearing sunglasses…so if you have tips on posing without them, HELP A GIRL OUT. I’ve become reliant on taking photos in them.
